"Make Sure You Sing Along to the Right Parts of this Song" by Gregory McKillop.
here’s a link for the song from the previous post

HEY INTERNET!!!! can any of you tell me what this song is???? because i have never heard it before.
WHAT IS THIS
just wanted to show off my spoils from new england zine fest! from left to right, top to bottom:
not pictured is an adorable minizine by flavorgrave i’ve wanted to get my hands on since the treat yo self show a couple of weeks ago!
i had no idea what to expect from this event. bostonhassle did an amazing job running things and i really enjoyed meeting the friendly artists and attendees who swung by the table. my only wish is that i’d had time to go to the workshops and discussions that ran throughout the day.
i made two new zines of old (and some new) poetry for the event, but wasn’t able to get decent copies of them in time so i decided to hang onto them for a little while longer until i can do that. very happy and inspired now. :)
so so so stoked i got to see the fellas in yeehaw tonight at their tour kickoff, i’ve been meaning to catch them since they started up earlier this summer and they were real peaches. the last time i saw dylan ewen he was playing with the sulk scouts which was excellent, but it was also cool seeing him switch gears to sing for a very different kind of project. juneva, everything ever, and flat swamp were amazing as well, coachandsons does an incredible job pulling these shows together and i hope he has an incredible time on tour.
tonight i’m wrapping up preparations for tomorrow’s new england zine fest which all friends should come check out! there will be about 30 artists there, not sure who yet but i have high hopes since the event’s been organized by bostonhassle (the crew who publish those boston compass newspapers you can find in vegan restaurants and cool hip places around town). i’ll have the lectures notes zine, some original thangz, plus poetry and ideas. please swing by, it will be great fun for all. :)
Two years ago, I was a part of a performance poetry workshop pairing off slam poets with groups of young trans kids from across the country to work on writing and reciting their pieces. It was a pretty validating experience, and where I met my boyfriend, Callum Angus for the first time. He was an intern at the camp that was putting on the workshop, and we didn’t really start hanging out until later, but now it has been two whole years and above is us standing in front of our new house in our cute little backyard with flowers and other cute things, and holding a little pink piece of paper which I will explain later.
I never thought I could be so happy with another person for so long, or have such an easy time communicating with another human being. Even the rough times when we get on each others nerves is miles away a hudred times smoother than any other connection or friendship I have ever experienced. We both get to live as artists together, support each other, love each other, and lean on each other in ways I didn’t think possible.
We often have a hard time thinking of “special” things to do on special days: a few weeks ago was my birthday but we spend a lot of time traveling (either to visit family or going on tour), and sometimes going out to eat can be expensive but we ended up spending my birthday getting a uhaul and moving everything we owned from North Adams to Ware, into the house you saw above (our first home we could call our own). This seemed like an arduous task at first, and although we were exhausted by the end of it, we could not think of any better way to end the day.
Today, however, we went mini golfing! There is a cute little spot for it right outside of town run by a grandmother and her little granddaughters, and the whole thing was just real cute. Since neither of us have smartphones we brought a camera and intentionally took cute pictures of each other. Someday, however I want to get a smartphone so we can take disgusting selfies which are adorable.
Above is Cal being smart and handsome and cool and good at mini golf, and below is me being bad at it:
Today we also went to Umass Amherst to fill out some paperwork for Cal. He is going to college there for his MFA in writing and I couldn’t be more proud of how awesome he is! While we were there we went to fill out some different things, and figured out that we could fill out paperwork to tell the college that we are in a domestic relationship, and both get full health benefits! This was totally great because we have gone back and forth about the whole marriage thing (we both have lots of pros and cons about it) but this way we don’t have to rush it, and can take our time thinking about it, and still get all the legal benefits of getting married! Hooray! We know that we will be together and love each other forever (and then get reincarnated as bugs together), but we don’t know if we need a big expensive and complicated legal proccess to prove it.
Anyways, heres the fancy pink piece of paper shown in the first picture:
We are so excited to be together and cook and clean for each other and travel the world together, and do all those things. I talk in run on sentences when I am in love.
Anyways, tonight we are going to eat salads and play video games! Cal likes watching me play, and I love playing video games so he watches me play and narrates the text in lots of cute different voices and oh man we have the best relationship.
Right now, we are on an old genesis game called Beyond Oasis, shown below:
